Description
Jenny Steinbrenner
Jenny (Mason) Steinbrenner, PharmD, BCPPS is currently a pediatric emergency medicine clinical pharmacist at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. She graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences and obtained her Doctorate of Pharmacy from The University of Findlay. Dr. Steinbrenner completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Baptist Medical Center/Wolfson Children’s Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida. She then continued post-graduate training by completing a PGY2 Specialty Pharmacy Residency in Pediatrics at Nationwide Children’s.
Following residency, Dr. Steinbrenner started a novel role as an emergency medicine clinical pharmacist at Nationwide Children’s where she implemented new clinical pharmacy services and helped start their pharmacy intern medication reconciliation program in the ED. In 2015, she transitioned to the pediatric intensive care unit and obtained board certification in pediatrics, however ultimately returned to the ED in late 2016.
Dr. Steinbrenner is enthusiastic about teaching and enjoys having students and residents on her rotations. She was instrumental in developing the PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at Nationwide Children's and serves as the Residency Director. She also lectures at The Ohio State University and The University of Findlay for some of their elective courses. Dr. Steinbrenner is also active with numerous pharmacy and hospital committees at Nationwide Children’s and involved with quality initiative projects and pharmacist education.
